Persistent dripping taps, slow-draining sinks, low water pressure, and unusual noises in the plumbing system are all signs that it might be time to call a professional plumber.

Keeping the thermostat set to a consistent temperature, insulating exposed pipes, and allowing taps to drip slightly during extremely cold weather can help prevent pipes from freezing.
